Bite me hotroder mags
Why is it that all the Magazines that carry stuff for cars and garages always have lots of **** for Camaros-Vetts-Mopar -etc,but have no stuff for Trans am and Firebirds?
Every time I look through these I see all sorts of cool stuff (garage sign-posters-shirts-etc) for these other cars but not ours-what gives?

Never ending saga, ,, I have built 2 traditional pontiac engines, a 400, and then a 462 solid roller, another fact for you that alot of people dont realize is that the parts for the traditional pontiacs are generally 1 1/2 times as expensive, when compared to the Chevrolet parts... That is just further proof that anyone who says, "firebirds and camaros are the same thing" does not have a clue what they are talking about.
But I wouldnt trade my ponchos for any other make....

i think the fact that pontiacs were always a few hundred dollars more then chevys also had something to do with that. probably same reason why there were so many more mustangs sold. even though its obvious we had the better car, muskrats were thousands less then any f-body.

I agree that the ws6 and T/A's both have more class and style than the Camaro's but it almost seems as hevymetalg said we are treated like the outcast. There are Rustangs on every corner very few even get my atten anymore.

What one muslcecar does almost everyone want? The one few would turn down if they could afford it? It isnt a Chevelle, most want either the GTO or the Road Runner. I've been into Pontiacs since 1984 and it hasnt changed much. There are still people saying put a 350 sbc in it, stories in magazines showing how to do that, and people thinking its a great thing to do. Still have yet to get beat by a chevy that has the same amount of money in it as one of my 400s or 455s. Usually they spend more just to get to where our engines are. Its part of being one of us, the split grille crew. They want our cars but assume we are slow or only into date coded hose clamp restorations. They do not realize what lurks beneath the shakers, WS6 hoods, and GTO scoops, waiting to be awoken from the stock slumber. FYI, LSx engines are only chevy in name, they have more Pontiac and Olds in them than they do chevy. They only wear the name because chevy got to keep the v8 engine plant, and all the engineering from all of GM went to that plant. So you 4th gen owners have more Pontiac under the hood than you think. Its just mislabeled.
