Are these Valvesprings any Good? So ive been asking around cause i want to use a TR224 cam. People told me not to use the ls6 springs that i have and to instead use the comp 918. Well i was looking around on ebay and found some Elgin performance prostock springs that are rated at .600 lift max, which is a little less than the comp 918 but should be good enough for the .563 lift of the TR224. what do you guys think?

I may be wrong here, but I thought LS6 springs were stock for the 01/02 model Fbodys...... Springs and Intake...... soo, if LS6 spring were stock, I wouldn't see why an "OEM" spring would really be bad, but if your going to upgrade the cam, might as well upgrade the springs.
Nope.....ls6 springs were used on ls6 motors, and 05 up ls2's And there are 2 different rated ls6 springs...

Elgin stuff has been around for years.
As long as the spring pressures are where they need to be for that camshaft than they arent bad.
Would I personally use them? Probably not, unless I was on a really tight budget. I would rather use some PSI or PAC springs myself.
