The motor is 200 miles away at a salvage yard so its would be hard for me to get a view of it.

If going with carb, its easier to run with conventional engine.
the msd ignition controller boxes may not be able to control vvt or afm....yet
the pcm controls those features.
for the ingnition controllers, all that really need is crank, cam, map signals.

i it is a newer 6.0, it means it wll be equipped with l92 heads and the
better ls2 full floating rods and rod bolts. its fairly easy to remove and disable vvt. so that wont be problem, but if its a lq4, u will have no such problems.
if u buy motor, make sure theyleave flexplate and spacer on there.
that way u will be able to use a th350/400 or 700r4.

**** don't tell me that. LOL! I already have the L92 heads brand new with good springs and all. I thought the 6.2 liters had the L92's.

the 6.0 LY6 replaced the LQ4. LY6 is iron 6.0 block with l92 heads.
the 6.2 are alum engines with l92 heads. if its a lq4, u can still use the l92 heads instead. of 317

Yeah that was my plan. To just get a 6.0 and swap my heads onto it. So do you think it has vvt? It is an Lq4 for sure. Thats what I got from the vin number.
