no chevy's in all-motor? or am i reading the rules wrong? plus what is a competitive time for that class? or at least whats the slowest qualifying time usually?

opps nevermind. just watched a vid clip on youtube of last year's all motor final. 2 hatchback civic's running in the high 10's NA must weigh like 1200lbs,im out.

no they are like 2400 ibs bc of the motor they are runnin but its still a bad ass event

I went to this last year. I have to say this is the single most exciting race I have ever raced in and I have raced in a lot over the last 10 years. The excitement from qualifying with so many cars and the stands packed with fans was an awesome adrenalin rush. Esecially when I was the last car on the trac kin the first qualifier for my class and I saw a bump spot on the board that I had covered and did bump the bump car out!!!!

Kudos to MIR for finding a way to get the domestics and imports competing in the same class.

This is the first year they are doing two day. I will miss Saturday as I have a Corvette Challenge at e'town but will be heading down for the only qualifier on Sunday to compete.

I just put 4.10s in my car and wasnt sure if someone could bring a little plug in tuner to re-calibrate the speedo? Also dont have the rear o2's in the cats so I have a ses light on too.. eh. I'll give ya 10 bucks?

so who is the guy I met? - Red SS with stripes on spray? Said your sn on here was zapman or something like that What a busy weekend though shew, such a crazy event!!!! Foxbody rode the bumper sat night a little too much, car got on one wheel, forced it into the right lane, feet from hiting the other car, right infront of us at the fence. First time every seeing that in person sheww, was a close call. Little disapointed to see sal with that viper get eliminated, and also the hyped up nrg hatch go down on a red light.. ouch. Nice event!

Had a blast this weekend, Wanted to stay Sunday too but 20+ GTO's cruising Skyline drive was too hard to pass up.

Only new face from tech I met I think was Redgar...

Can't wait for next year!

I ran in T/S. My best run was an 11.8 i was pretty much outclassed. Probably do brackets next year...

I ran w/s I was really out classed best pass was a 10.60 @ 125.. 1.41 60' but I can be upset about that time it was a new best. All stock suspension, stock motor just a baby 224 cam. I think I qualified 27th out of 40, But overall had a blast it was a good weekend

well at the end of the weekend at mir the camaro went 11.530 at 117.42 11.59 at 117 11.601 and 11.602 11.66 and 11.72 all at 117 also with 1.6xxxx 60s all weekend

ahh thats why, i think you told me you got a z06 too I just forgot. Cause I wouldve recognized the 3rd gen. I didnt run the ss cause I was affraid to break and not have a trailer to take it home. I wanted to run soo bad though, especially now that I have the 4.10s in im hoping to break into the 11s. Maybe this coming weekend

I'm thinking of going to one of the last test and tunes at MIR this year. My personal best was a botched run so i really want another shot at 11.5x. Let me know if you want to meet up.

Hey Redgar, was that you that came in right behind us - we had the red WS6 on the open trailer... Car belongs to LS1speedaddict, I am just the tuner (tune zitman08's car as well). We went 9.00 at 150mph in S/F - we brought a knife to a gun fight lol! I was hoping he would get his 8 second slip, but can't complain since we only have a handful of passes on the setup, and that was the first pass on those jets... good times for sure!

Yup that was me. That et would have been great for Wild Street where 8.88 was the the best. I presume something kept you from fitting there?

I was talking to Perk's teammate, he won wild street. and he was saying if he added 150lbs to the car he could have gone as high as a 400 shot (he is all motor). Ended up not needing it :)

Yeah, he has a direct port system and a 4 bbl throttle body. We thought about taking it off and putting a plate and elbow on it, but decided it was way too much work and money for one race...

That was on 300 and at 3400#. I think over the winter, he plans to add a plate for another stage on top of the direct port... and take some more weight out... should be interesting!

what you plan to change for next year REDGAR?

Have not really given it too much thought yet. This year I got a 150# weight break and was about a tenth quicker than last year and I actually hurt myself cause I have 3.42s in the car not the 4.10's I had last year. Even with the 4.10s I still would have nothing for the front runners who are mid 9's on motor!!!! Jeez.

Even if they gave me another weight break, I would not have enough.

I actually have been thinking it is time to go the other direction, slower :(

Doubt they will let my 402 in all motor street even though it is only a tenth quicker than that the number 1 qualifier LOL
