I was curious to know how light someone has got there vert. I've got mine to 3280-3300lbs on a quarter tank of gas. I recently removed my front bumper support, previous to removing that though it weighed 3300 on a half a tank of gas and no one in it.

I've been removing a ton of heat shields, sound and heat insulators, and pointless access panels. And traded the steel DS for an aluminum one.
I haven't weighed it yet.

I've removed carpet, back seats and seat belts, plastic panels from interior, bumper support, egr, p/s, a/c and condensor, front sway bar, spare tire. Pretty much just 2 seats a center console and a dashboard inside with true duals and a forged 347. Some where around 3280 empty

I did rear seats, the brackets for the rear belts, trap door for fuel pump. Heat sheilding for exhaust, TDs, headers, !EGR, !AIR, all hydraulics for the top, Aluminum DS, 9.5" stall.

I need to weight it, will get back soon.

I haven't weighed mine yet because it isn't driveable yet, but I put a tubular k-member on it, and the LSX and T56 are lighter than the TPI and 700R4 I took out of it. I will weigh it when my swap is done. :)

seems like any weight i remove i end up adding more in other parts. ive removed door bars, front bumper bar and front of frame horns. tubular k member, fiberglass fenders, VFN hood, lower rad support, no air pump, no ac and its components, removed unneeded metal brackets from engine bay, no abs, removed fiberglass/steel nose support

but ive added a black iron turbo manifold, 88mm turbo, intercooler, tubing, filled engine bay holes, roll bar, SFI bellhousing for T56. Id like to see 3800lbs race weight

You cut the trunk out  ..... looks good ... you should lose the power top as well then. Not hard and the top goes up very easily manually. Just a thought since you have already gone as far as to cut out the trunk. :D

I would, but it will be a PAIN to manually operate the top with my 6pt cage... I will be hanging the rear mount battery from the passenger frame rail so the vert pump will balance out the weight in the rear.

I dont think it would matter with or without the cage man. :) Either way looks good.

i had my sixer down to 3280-3300 with me in it and a full tank of gas minus 9 miles of driving.

lots of little shit adds up.

the weight with the nitrous and blower ended up being 3360 with me in it though so eh.
