Multimedia Exchange - Black Rims On A Black Camaro/Trans Am

I am looking for some ideas of what kind of rims I should put on my Camaro Z28. I want them to be all black or black with a chrome lip. If you can post up some pics of you black on black f-bodies.

I was kind of thinking some black ZR1, stock Trans Am WS6 rims, or black & chrome lip American Racing Torq Thrust...?

yea its the stock rims... kind of getting tired of the look. plus im going for the all blacked out look so yea. but yea I hate the body kit.... but its $$$ to get it removed & have the holes filled in.

Myself...I prefer polished/chrome on black F-Body's.

NSSANE02 Love your camaro... but all the ZR1 rims I see have the chrome lip. Kind of would like to have ALL black ZR1. I guess I could always just paint them.

Yeah you won't find any all black ZR-1's unless they're custom. If you plan to keep them a while I would just get some silver ones and have them powder coated, paint will work fine but it won't hold up quite as well.

Depending on what your budget for the wheels is a set of fikse FM5's with a black center and polished lip would look sharp with the RS bodykit as well.

Ive never heard of those rims before.... but I googled n found a all black one on a Porsche. LOOKS GOOD! dont see to many black ones.. I kind of like the black CCW sp500. but think they might be a little to skinny? but yea those Fikse are $$$ or theres some black ZR1 rims? those would be cheaper...

That porsche is the first time I've seen ALL black Fm5's. That's a really nice look actually. I just thought of the FM5's cause I remember a few years ago seeing a z28 with the rs bodykit like yours with a set and really thought it fit well.

thanks. i prefer the chrome lip because without it, the wheels look dirty all the time. i've had them for about 4.5 years. the center caps were just installed last month. it took me almost a year to find someone to make those 3d decals to fit the ZR1 center caps in place of the flags/chevy logo that they normally have. they are a design i came up with myself by scanning in the flag logo and then blacking it out and adding the Trans am lettering and logo in gold.

go with black zr1 since you are on a budget.. you cant go wrong with zr1s!!! get them staggered tho! as far as the body kit goes, how about removing it yourself, and pluggin the holes up with plasic interior plugs/screws but paint them a gloss finish to match the paint? cheap temp fix? just a thought, GL tho!

If I recall correctly, they are 12" in the rear with 345's and 9.5" up front with 275's.

I like the black ZR1's,im also not a fan of the factory ground effects.

Honest if you go all black there is really no reason to spend a huge amount of money on rims,imo all black wheels are going to look the same, you think any normal people outside of tech are really going to tell the difference between all black sp500s and all black c5dd, no, yeah we can tell them apart but i dont see spending the extra cash, look at it this way though you can get used fm5s /ccws for around 2500to with decent tires, i would hold out for the right deal ,after you buy rims n tires than powder coat its going to cost some cash to do that, i would figure out how much more its going to cost and make my decision based on that
