Default Rocker arms backing off

355, world sportsman heads, manley studs. My rocker arm nuts keep backing off, the studs arent stripped, the nuts are fine, what is the deal?? Push rods too short, maybe? They are stock length.

I was having a problem like this too, if you can't afford the poly's yet.

Try adding a second nut ontop of the first one.

I tried that but its not working either. I went ahead and ordered the poly locks along with 1.6 roller rockers, should be here wednesday. Should make for something fun at the track friday night.

When you put the poly's on there, tighten the set screw and then tighten the nut about another 1/8 turn with the set screw. Don't over do it, you can break the nut. They won't back off this way. I can run my solid roller cam all year and adjust maybe 1 or 2 at the end of the seson.
