Default Help with cams

Looking at lingenfelter cams.

I am swapping in a 5.3 into my 94, so the cam will be going in that.

I am looking at these
GT2-3 207 / 220 .571" / .578" (1.7 ratio) 118.5 centerline

GT7 208 / 230 .554" / .546" (1.7 ratio) 121 centerline

What I want from the car:
Idle like stock, sound like stock, and drive good. I want good low and medium range torque, with decent HP.
Anything over 350 at the wheels N/A, i would be MORE than happy (with full boltons of course)

Now, part of the reason for looking at these, is I am later going to turbo it with probably 10PSI or so.

So, wondering what you guys thought about these?

The other option, would be the TR224 on a 116.

Don't base "lopiness" on just lsa alone. If the cam Predator-Z gave you has little overlap, it'll have a smooth idle.

I have seen a lot of positive results from the GT2-3 cam though.

very true. its a common misconception that LSA is the only thing that creates lope or a stock suonding idle. if my math is correct, that grind you result in -11 degrees of overlap. that is going to be one damn smooth idle.

plus, pred z knows his ****, so he wouldnt suggest something that was against what you were looking for.

i doubt it. and its his own custom grind. just take the specs to a sponsor or call up comp cams and theyll grind it for you. no need for off the shelf cams when a custom grind does a better job to fit exactly what you want, with zero or minimal extra charge ($20 for a few places)

-11 degree overlap, no lope, it is setup with your future turbo in mind, but it will be nice and torquey NA,

Specs are:

Comp Cam lobes
Intake # 3711R
Exhaust # 3710R
113 LSA
111 ICL

I recommend PAC 1518 springs with that cam
Degreing the cam and measuring for pushrods as well.

0 PTV issue on stock heads, gasket.
