Leave them in or take them out? Any difference?

It will make a difference definately, but I would not leave it out. Dropped about .2 sec ET in a 1/4.

In the summer I pick up knock about.1 off et but in the winter the car likes the airfilter in. Just depends on the tune . THis is with the k&n filter also.

With a FTRA kit, my cars have always liked the filter pulled at the track. It's worth a solid .6-1 MPH in my experience (depending on engine combination.)

FWIW, I pulled my STP paper filter, in between dyno runs, and picked up absolutely nothing. Maybe it's one of those mods that doesn't work while the car's sitting still...just like ram air. :eyes:

I have never noticed any change either way with or without a filter.

My dyno runs have always shown about the same with or without the filter too...but there's no doubt it helps me at the track. I am curious as to this being the case if I didn't have the FTRA kit.
