Leave them in or take them out? Any difference?

It will make a difference definately, but I would not leave it out. Dropped about .2 sec ET in a 1/4.

In the summer I pick up knock about.1 off et but in the winter the car likes the airfilter in. Just depends on the tune . THis is with the k&n filter also.

With a FTRA kit, my cars have always liked the filter pulled at the track. It's worth a solid .6-1 MPH in my experience (depending on engine combination.)

i have the bg ram air kit and am putting gown about 430 rwhp na. my car was tuned at an elevation of around 700' and since then i have moved to el paso (3700'). i also have an nx maf kit that i plan to use this weekend. would it help me?

FWIW, I pulled my STP paper filter, in between dyno runs, and picked up absolutely nothing. Maybe it's one of those mods that doesn't work while the car's sitting still...just like ram air. :eyes:

I have never noticed any change either way with or without a filter.

My dyno runs have always shown about the same with or without the filter too...but there's no doubt it helps me at the track. I am curious as to this being the case if I didn't have the FTRA kit.
