Default How Wide Can I Go?

i have my 17x7 rims that are currently being used for winter. i am also going to be using them to put on some drag radials for next summer. what is the widdest tire i can put on a 7'' rim? also along with the width what sidewall height would be best at the track? thanks.

i think only nitto makes a 245/45x17, that would be the widest for a 7" rim, and should really be on an 8"...

with 17" DR's you're hard pressed to find a size that fits the bill. The 245/45/17 mentioned would probably be the best. 265 would work if you can find a 265 DR.
