That turbo is fine. Also, there is no such thing as a turbo spooling too fast!

The master power turbos are really not that expensive new and come with a waranty. Unless your getting it really cheap i would suggest you just buy new.

I think that might be a T4 .96 (The hot side should have it marked as far as A/R)

I have a MP T70 on my Stock (other than springs/pushrods/Injectors) 98 SS and even from a dead idle punch, it lags for a sec, but...when the turbo comes in....traction is gone...period.... so I would just plan on dealing with traction issues... I would'nt try to get a laggy turbo by any means!

If you are worried about traction then invest in suspension and tires. The T70's are a great turbo to get you into FI for a budget build.

Sounds like a traction problem and not a turbo/lag problem!

Ya, that's a standard MP T76, P-trim, T4 .96a/r turbo. FYI, those are about $775 brand new with 1 year warranty.

I ran one on my LS1 in my truck and they are a good fit for these motors.

yeah but i wouldnt take the chance. just like descreening the maf. no way. but yeah the 76 will be fine. you dont need a wider tire for stock purposes though? what type of tire is on the car? i would run m/t's and never look back. i think nittos suck the big one

There is no problem descreening the MAF, the newer MAFs don't have screens and they work just fine.
