2000 LS1 A4, 292 hp stock.
So last year i put down 345 horsepower on a mustang dyno with TR 220 cam, ls6 intake, and livernois stg 1 heads and of course a lid... stock exhaust manis with a chokemaster (with rattling baffle.. lol ).
Today i just dynoed again with the LPP headers and magnaflow exhaust installed.
for the record i put down 383 horsepower. The smoothing was only on 1 and the 383 is a little of a spike, id say the average near peak is around 375. Overall on a mustang dyno through an a4 with a baby TR 220 cam im pretty happy with what it put down... and more importantly happy to have the driveability!! From what ive seen every car that has run on a dynojet and this mustang dyno, this mustang dyno (eddy current) reads 15-20 hp less... so if that means im putting out around 390 rwhp on a dynojet with only a 220 cam i think im doing alright.
what do you guys think?

Sounds decent man. I wish I could look at your graph, will have to check it out when I get home. I'll bet she pulls hard and smooth thru the rev range.

im guessing by stage 1 heads you mean 243 castings? if so id expect a little more but its not far off.
why are so many people skipping straight to a cam instead of getting the exhaust done?

Looks good. They should of smooth that for you-alot.It looks like a realistic 370rwhp.Not bad with a small setup on a car that dyno'd 292hp before.

That's not a true 383rwhp either. That graph has not been SAE corrected, it is still in STD. So in SAE and with a little smoothing you're looking at 360rwhp. If you've still got a stock torque converter, those results would be considered a little low.

hey slowhawk! saw "evil" there yesterday... the owner said you built it... was 20 minutes late to see it run but it put down i believe 770 hp at i think 15 psi. i know about the smoothing... i was gonna ask them to print it out with more smoothing but there were too many diesels dynoing (yawn)..
marc, sae corrections didnt print but were pretty well near 1 correction. Corrected numbers displayed on the dyno were only 3-4 hp different. I dont care so much about the end number because all dynos are different. the 345 without the exhaust was on this same dyno (in STD) in the same air so all i wanted to know was how much i gained with the exhaust. Around +30 horsepower with headers and exhaust made me happy. Something to keep in mind is that a bone stock 02 z06 put down 330 rwhp on this dyno. Its a bit stingy. An 800+ horsepower dodge cummins kept getting under the hood trying to find out what was wrong when he couldnt break the 800 mark.
still the best tr220 dyno i have seen with an m6 mods like mine were around 380 on a dyno jet so with an a4 on an eddy current mustang dyno im more then happy even if it would have dynoed 360 rwhp.
Also i wonder if it made any difference the 345 horse dyno had the stock ws6 rims while on this dyno i had the heavier torque thrusts. Anyone ever notice if that makes any significant difference on a dyno?
