Default License plate LED pic

So I liked the finished product of 98 WS6's car with his plate so I ordered a flexible strip on ebay. It was like $3 shipped so I figured what the hell. Here's the finished product. Sorry for the crappy pic but my car is backed up almost against my washer and dryer so I had no room but you get the point.

that looks brighter than mine which I like. I haven't taken mine outside yet in the dark so I don't know what it looks like except for my garage.

Are there any special install instructions? Or did you just splice the leads to the wires on the car and mount the strip?

They come in blue, green, red, white, orange UV, and pink.

Yes. I removed the stock bulb and spliced in the 2 LED strips (1 on each side) evenly spaced above the plate.

Did you use double sided tape to mount the strip?

If you could just post the link to the seller/item that would be great.

I don't think I'd want to make my plate light brighter. I kind of fail to see the purpose.

Someone suggested it to me because I have such bright headlights. Just try and even the color up a bit. I like the idea.

For some (like me), it is an attempt to try and get the same type of color output to match HID headlights - the white LEDs match very well, granted, the license plate is lit up much brighter.

What would it matter though? If you are doing something that would cause you to be pulled over, they are going to pull you over regardless - whether you are lighting up the license plate or they are with their headlights doesn't really matter much in my book.

Good wording. It's not that I wanted my license plate to stick out, I just wanted a cleaner look. It's not much brighter than stock, just white instead of ugly yellow.

I used some double sided foam tape I had laying around. I work in a hospital so I think it's medical tape. I was going to use 3M tape at first but this stuff holds. I figured if it can hold open wounds closed in Iraq and Afghanistan, then it will hold a tiny light strip.

Ebay seller name is HKCRMSHOP if anyone is curious to where I got it. I think I just typed Flexible LED strip in the search box on ebay.

Installation was easy...took the old bulb out, spliced into factory wiring, cleaned bumper with rubbing alcohol, and stuck the light up under. Before you stick it, I suggest trying different areas to put it because the amount of light that hits the plate depends on where it's mounted.

I have relatively bright headlights also although they are nothing compared to 71-Camaro-98's beams of daylight and I still don't really understand. I guess I would rather have my car be simple and understated.

In regards to the second part I've done quite a few things that wouldn't exactly be defined as legal. I will not get too far into it, but the harder it is for anyone that is going to attempt to pull me over to see my tag the better.
