tr230 cam? should i change it

Default tr230 cam? should i change it

i have a every other weekend car . i have 4 10 gears long tubes with qtp y pipe and duel cutouts. fast 90 90 combo arp head bolts ls6 heads harland sharpe rocker arms drag radials. k&n fipk air intake slp under driver pully arp rod bolts and main caps. it pade 398 hp. i want more bottom end torque not worried about max power just dont like the 4 10 gears seems like to many shift with the m6. what cam would you reccomend to keep my 400 hp just gain alot of torque i liked my ls6 intake with 3.42 gears actually

is your LS6 heads ported? if not, i would just save the money and slap some TFS 215 heads.

that cam is a very good cam for under the curve power only way i would change it would be for a custom cam and it might not gain very much

might not be easy to get more low end than that cam and keep your hp too, but I'm not an expert...I will say the low end power is one of the things touted by that cam

in the end its a ls1 not a big block, bottom end grunt isn't exactly the primary function of the platform

u already have a proven cam. you need some heads to back it up

thanks for all the input guy i was just wondering if like a ms4 or trex cam would be worth the swap . also what heads work best with the tr230 what combustion chamber size should i shoot for i want high compression
