Just want to know, do you ever get tired from laying over on the bars?
I'm looking at a CBR600RR. I checked it out and ergonomics felt right, but just wanted to hear from those who actually ride these alot.

The intended use would be weekend trips to mountains, etc. Maybe ride to work 10 miles.

Longer rides at first were quite tiresome for me, but it seems the longer I'm on the bike, the stronger my wrists feel. I've been riding for 2 years now and 60 miles one way aint no thing.

06 Triumph Daytona 675 and I'm 5'9" 170.

Oh and the CBR RR is one of the finest machines I've ever rode. You won't regret the purchase.

Happy riding!

ya i got a rr, to tell you the truth i love the bike for when im thrashin it around on track or mountains, its the perfect size compared to a larger r1. im 6'3" and the r1 is definetely comfortable for longer riding but i was much more happier with the cbr, the power was too much for me especially since i bought it as a extra toy. but ya like relentlez said, the cbr is a excellent bike ive got 18000 miles and not one issue, its a great dependable bike.

i ride just about every day if i can help it. the first "long rides" do get painfull and you might be alittle sore, but, you do get use to it.

i have 23k miles on my 06 gsxr 1000. I also put 20k on a 03 gsxr 600 and 15k on an 05 R6. One thing to keep in mind is sportbikes weren't built for comfort. With that said i've done plenty of rides to puerto nuevo mex which is roughly 3 hours with the wife on the back of the bike. It takes some getting used to but they definitely aren't comfortable compared to a cruiser. Its not so bad though just take your time and you'll be riding without even giving comfort a second though.

As far as that bike though I can't comment since i haven't looked into it. But all newer bikes seem extremely close in quality and power. Just go with whatever u like better and get a better deal on.

it depends on how tall you are the bikes arent made to be comforatable as stated above....you will have to size the bike up i am tall so When i had my 06 zx6 it was a decent ride (it was taller and wider and seemed to balance well for me i am 6'3) you want a to be somewhat comfortable when riding Then my r1 i felt crammed......throught on some gille's rs and i was good to go......

as far as the rr goes its prob the best 600 out right no IMO ..thats the advantage of my work...we deal and test the bikes before they are released and cant complain.....so we size them up pretty well

but all in all it a good pick

Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD).

I had that on my 06 1000RR, worked like a charm. I ended up getting out of the sport bike scene, I've got bars in my back and I figured it wouldn't be good if I ever crashed! :D

You'll get used to the leanin forward after a while.. It's great ridin a bike gettin the fresh air... if you get tired of leanin forward, just ride a wheelie and the tiredness will disappear... bikes worth it especially the gas....

miss my r1

didnt have a cbr, but put 15-17k miles on my R6 a year till i sold it. I enjoyed every minute on that thing. Did 25-30 miles to and from work a day.

Never really got tired, but i never tried to see how far i could go either. Guess its a good thing they have pretty small tanks, gives you a chance to rest. Just work on spending more time on it, you'll get more used to it. Make sure your comfortable, gloves, shoes, seat cover. Keep extending your time out and see what gets uncomfortable first and replace that. I had to go through a couple gloves and remembering not to over squeeze the handle bars till my hands stopped going numb. You'll get into a groove pretty quick, learning where your comfortable and how you like to be positioned. Only time i got uncomfortable was when i was fully tucked for long periods of time.

Good luck, have fun... be safe.
