Franky you must be napping during the day while I'm building transmissions! How do you post 2am and still get rest? I guess a few good cat naps gets you through the day!
As Frank said the sprag and the governor would be two things to look at. It is possible that you have an issue in the valve body. I would check the governor first and make sure the sprag is correct before driving this. Then go from there. Vince Bielanski

Update: I think i found an issue.. I have an 87 700r4.. I ordered VB gaskets for an 86.. Right where the Aux VB is, the gasket is missing a hole, where the checkball goes in. If im not mistaken, This would starve the forward clutches and cause my no OD engagement from a stop.. Any input would be nice..
Thanx

The part that gets me is why did the 3-4 clutch get hurt? I would get the correct gaskets and also look at a couple of other things. Make sure that you have the ***** in the valve body, case and the auxiliary valve body in their correct locations. Remember to look at the plate where the bath tubs are in the case and VB. Make sure that there is two holes in these locations if you install a ball here. If there is only one hole then a ball does not go here.
Now back to the 3-4 clutch. In the input drum make sure that you have all the seals installed and also that they are good. The one that comes to mind would be the oring that is installed in the input housing for the 3-4 clutch and the forward clutch. If this is missing you will have a cross leak. Good luck and let us know how this turns out. Vince Bielanski
