Default In need of a stock 2004 LQ4 tune for manual transmission

Title pretty much states it all.

I need a stock tune for a 2004 LQ4 with a manual transmission.

I was told the following vin fits that bill: 1GCHK29U24E103332

Bin file would work. I'm going to remove VATS and flash with Jet DST.

Misc info about my current PCM if it makes a difference:
PCM: 12586242

Calibration module info:
OS 12585950
Engine Cal: 12586060
Engine Diag: 12586214
Trans Cal: 12578773
Trans Diag: 12578790
Fuel system: 12578798
System Cal: 12585940
Speedometer: 12578995

I'm not looking for a custom tune at this point. In the near future, a custom tune may be coming.

Email the vin to John at tunercat he will give you the latest stock file for 25bucks or use a auto file and just tell the pcm its a manual it will shut off all the auto trans codes and functions. Its under constants in Tunercat so im sure its somewhere like that in Jet DST

Actually, the tunes between auto and manual are VERY different in my experience. I did try to flip the "what is this tranny" to manual. And it did not work. It would not do anything but idle... any off throttle acted like it was starved.

I made up an ugly *** combo tune out of a 6.0 auto tune and a 4.8 manual tune. I had to change about 25-30 different items in 4 different secionts. It will run off idle now but it isn't ideal.

Still could use the stock tune for a 2004 manual trans 6.0L LQ4.

Anyone know where one is?

What color are your PCM connectors? If they are blue/green, try the 2004 GTO Manual Flash. That's only if you're going DBC though.

Can you describe the setup further?

Here is what I got:
LQ4 from 2004 Silverado 2500hd 4 wheel drive truck
NV4500 manual transmission
VSS from 2004 Silverado feeding PCM
Axles have 4.88 gears
Tires are 35"

The engine is all stock except for Sanderson center dump headers and some generic aftermarket filter.

It is using the front set of o2 sensors. It has no catalytic. It is running a single muffler.

If you need any other information, please let me know what else I can provide.

Is it DBW or DBC? I'm guessing its DBW, seeing as it was pretty much standard on most trucks.

Yes, it is drive by wire.

And somehow I missed your early reply... yes, the two pcm connectors are blue/green. When I searched for a 2004 GTO, I found a LS1 version so I'm a little confused on using it. It would definitely be closer than my 4.8L hacked in job.

The situation just strikes me as funny beyond belief because when I was shopping for my LQ4, junkyards told me "never heard of one with a manual tranny". But everyone on the internet keeps say "I trip over LQ4s with manual trannies." yet when called to task, not a single person can provide a stock tune.

No Problem. I'm using the 04 GTO tune on my PCM, but mine is DBC. I'm thinking an 04 CTS-V, seeing as it was still DBW and had a manual tranny. Just copy the engine related tables from the 6.0L tune to the 5.7L CTS-V tune, and you should be good to go, in theory. It worked on my GTO tune. I have an 04 CTS-V tune, but it's in HPTuners format.

Would you like the file sent by email or do you need us to flash the pcm as well?

I'll give you a call on Monday concerning a "highway" tune for the same engine.

I can accept it at j_j_stone @yahoo.com (remove the space)

Thank you VERY much,
-John
