It does not state what the kit comes with, so I couldn't tell you. To make a 450+ HP 4l60/700r you need at least a good set of Raybestos Blue Plates (rather than PTS), a HP stock width band, upgraded input sprag, 1/2 inch boost valve, "the beast" sun shell, upgraded accum spring, oversized servos, and a good shift kit. A 700r4 needs major pump upgrades and possibly planet carrier upgrade.

And that is minumum.

I don't know a whole lot about transmissions so I have stupid questions. All the things you said I'd need -- where can I get those things?

And to build a decent 4L60E how much am I looking at parts wise?

Thanks a lot for the help. I really appreciate it.

www.kdsperformance.com has pretty much all the commercially available internal parts.

a local (dallas) shop recommended them, and a friend of mine had one in his lightning that was brutal, and he put over 500ft/lbs through it almost daily.
