which cam?
Which cam for a stock ls1, going with an ls6 intake and pacesetter LT's and tsp or-y and a magnaflow cat-back. I plan on a 3k stall and 3.73 gears a phr and a complete vehicle bushing kit, its a 1998 z28. I was considering the gmpp hot cam, but have heard it is too small, or maybe a custom cam from straightline performance. Just looking for suggestions, I would like to hit high to mid 12's on this set-up.

Ok since you have an A4 where are you looking to set your shifty points where do you want you peak HP to be at. Since you have your goal set is it a DD, weekend terror, track only, strip/street. What heads are you going to be running.
A little more info would help because you are going to need a cam to be in the mid 230s with a minimum of a 600 lift for 12s and an LSA in the 109 to 112 at the most if its a track only car. If you do custom grind Pat G, Ed Curtis, Lloyd Elliot would be some of the guys to contact for that type of cam. Also are you going to stick to N/A or are you going to do some type of forced induction. Just a few questions you need to look at before actually choosing a cam.
I am running low 12's with the set up I have N/A, cam from Ed Curtis and heads from Total Flow Induction CHD.

I am looking to have a nice street car that can go to the track and crack off 12's whether its 12.99 or 12.59. I have a budget to stick to and what i feel to be a sturdy platform. Unfortunately heads are not in the budget but a cnc of the stock heads is an option.

feel free to give us a call. my business partner worked at Comp Cams and specd a lot of LSx stuff while he was there.
our cam prices are also very competitive. We are only minutes down the street from Comp Cams and can custom grind anything you need.
Thanks.
