Default port size on head for 402?

hey guys, im getting some edelbrock pro ports and having west coast cylinder heads do a full CNC on them. they have a 215cc intake runner or a 245cc intake runner program, with a 66cc and 74cc chamber, respectively.

i need the 74cc chamber for the comp ratio i want, but would the 245cc runner be too big for a 99% street car? maybe i can get him to do the 215cc runner with the 74cc chamber???

what do you guys think?

i will have an 88mm turbo on it eventually. its getting a Victor Jr manifold as well.

The LSx motors seem to like bigger than normal heads with FI. What are your power goals?

id like to be in the 800 range, but around 6-650 for the street.

Tell Richard what you're doing, and explain your goals and expectations. Then, take his advice; he's one of the best in the business

BTW, I've got a set of his 245's on my 408

I have a set of his 245s also, guess a deciding factor for you might be how well the Vic Jr matches his awesome port work. I had to change intakes as my already ported FAST was alteast 0.1" too small on the intake side.....

True, nice thing though about the aluminum manifold is that i can port it quite a bit

i just want to make sure that i wont lose a lot of low end torque. compression will be 9.6-7 ish
