Default 1998 Sonoma LS1 6-Speed Swap

Got a few questions regarding swap that I've about got wrapped up. First of all the throttle body coolant line, I think thats what it would be called, for the time being I have it capped off. What do I need to do with this to have it working properly? My other question is about the fuel pump. The truck was originally a gustless 4 banger, and I have been told that the pump will work with the LS1 motor, Is this true? If anyone can help I would appreciate. Thanks

By pass the throttle body and yes you will need to run a line to a heater hose or water pump for the coolant tubes on the heads. I have been well over 400whp with the 4cy pump with no issues.

The 4 cylinder fuel pump will not work will the LS1. You can easily upgrade to the flexfuel pump or splice a Camaro pump in. Check out the LSX stickies on S10forum.com.

My last 5.3l S10 had a regular 98' 2.2l pump in it, not flex fuel. Ran 13.0@108. AFR on that pass was 12.2-12.5:1......
