4.0 stroke Lunati
6.125 h3 Lunati rods
Lingenfelter LS3 heads
G5xB cam from LG
vortech T trim with 10 to 12 psi with front mount intercooler
LS7 lifters
92mm throttle body
wesco pistions with coating
and a 50 or 75 shot to cool the intake temp down at the track
Hopefuly this will hit 650 hp or so . Tell me what u would change and why. , or what i missed

If you can't get 650 with a shot of 50-75 assist from the happy gas, you are doing something way way WAY wrong! You should be at 800 or more with that setup with boost in the teens WITHOUT any spray.. Unless vortech's just suck that much.. I'd also go with a procharger, but still, if you already have a sufficient vortech to feed that engine the amount of air its gonna take, then go for it.

I'm not always sold on the old saying "you get what you pay for", but in this instance, it is very true. Also, if you are looking at having to buy a nitrous kit on top of a vortech to supplement achieving your goals, are you considering that cost too when comparing to procharger?

Most vette guys use vortech because a LOT of them get their kits from A&A. A&A used to be an exclusive procharger dealer and installer. A few years ago, there was a HUGE dispute between A&A and procharger over A&A wanting to buy the kit minus the bracket from procharger because they were making their own (superior?) brackets but procharger wanted to sell them entire kits, and neither side wanted to budge, so A&A seeked out and struck a deal with Vortech. There is a HUGE drama era over on corvetteforum if you care to dig that up with a search and read all the **** slinging that was going on.
Bottom line is though, procharger does make a better supercharger, and even the corvette guys will admit that the power from prochargers is far superior to that of like vortechs. However, when one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) dealers of superchargers in the corvette world is selling and promoting vortech, thats what you end up with on the market.

It looks to me like you are building the nearly exact setup that I have now. Only difference is I have the LS2 block and the Vortech V1-SI head unit. At the current setup with the cutout open and the airlid removed it will put down 14psi and 650rwhp. This was done at speed inc with an SD tune. It also had 180+ IAT's and does not have the aftercooler inlet mod that rmcr does. I am going to have that done this winter and according to mike @ rmcr should pick up another 2psi, then do a bigger water tank to lower the IAT's. Mine has less cfm than yours so I dont think you would even need the nitrous to get 650rwhp. However the FMIC may reduce your psi do a search on 2001ws6vert he has had both setups and the aftercooler picked up more psi. Just a little .02 from me, pm me if you have any other ?'s.

If all you want is 650hp you don't need to spend that much $$$$ on the crank and rods. Compstar crank and Eagle rods will be more than enough.
I would prefer WCCH Stage II heads.
I don't know what the specs are on that cam, but I would have a custom one specd for my cubic inches and the blower.

I think most would prefer prochargers but it seems like people like vortechs too. Are vortechs really that much cheaper than prochargers?
I would also save the money on the Lunati stuff and use comp star, or eagle peices. I've heard decent stuff about K1 rods and cranks too though.
As far as heads, I would try to squeeze the budget for some aftermarket heads for the thicker decks, they seal better at high boost levels.

The kits above come with the ATI Performance Products harmonic balancer, ATI Performance Products crank pinning kit, Siemens Deka 60lb injectors, Walbro fuel pump, plus a tune.

Check out the build we did for this car, which is similar to what you are proposing. Take a look at the last dyno graph. Bob
