Default Garage shifts vs Boost Valve

Hey guys, quick question..

If I install ONLY a .570 Boost reg Valve, Will this create harsh "garage shifts"?? Its a 87 7004r, bone stock

That would be a monster size valve. I never installed one bigger than .500. If the line pressure is higher at an idle then yes it is going to go into gear much firmer. Vince Bielanski
