Sounds like you are pressurizing the cooling system since it shows up when you get on it... more than likely a bad head gasket... what does your engine/power adder combination consist of?

I would retry the cap thing one last time because I had the exact same problem and it was the rad cap. Mayeb you caught a defect one or some crap in the rad swap.

I had the same issue my rad cap wasnt even holding 5 psi and the tank overfilled many times. However being the paranoid person I am and with the car having 100k I decided to do head gaskets and lifters cuz I thought I had a lifter tap which was infact piston slap. Anyway after taking the motor apart I couldnt find any bypass on the gaskets and the motor wasnt burning coolant. But hey atleast I got redone heads and gaskets out of it. Is the motor burning coolant, missing at all, or have a milky substance in the valve covers?

Just an Fyi but I had someone tell me that small bubbles in the rad with the engine running meant a bad head gasket. However like I said mine didnt burn coolant and did it even after new gaskets my buddies also does it a little bit to.

You will see bubbles when cold. Bubbles are normal when water is at boiling temp.

Forgot to tell, the PS fluid sometime gets into the rad by the PS cooler and couldve caused this cap crap thing. Check your PS fluid for any brownish liquid in there. If its a yes, you got a coolant leak in the PS reservoir and PS fluid in the rad...
