Default lq4 swap with gto headers, fox

anybody tried 04+ gto headers for a mustang swap (99-04). looks like it would work.

Depends on K member but most stock/cast manifolds wont work because they interfere with the steering shaft if I remember correctly.... They work facing forward tho lol.

hmm maybe i'll be the first to try it, i figure if they won't work it will only be the front 2 tubes on the driver side, no biggie to cut and weld back up.

im in the middle of gathering all my parts for the lsx swap on my 92 notch....and i just so happen to own a gto...and i also just so happen to have a set of long tubes for it in the garage. I should have my 5.3 and aje k member in the next 2 weeks. ill let you know if they fit.

Me too, I should be getting the car today! It's a 99 V6 auto getting a 5.3 or 6.0L w/automatic,AJE crossmember and mounts.
I subscribed to thread because I was wondering the same thing.

I have also heard that 351 foxbody headers will work by cutting off te flanges and welding ls1 flanges on

well, i ended up putting the headers on the gto before i got my motor and k member so i dont know if they would fit. It looks like they might fit though when i put the cars side by sisde
