Default Torquer V2 cam with stock 241 heads

Im going to be running the torquer V2 cam with my stocl LS1 heads. I was wondering if anyone else is running this cam with stock heads and if they like it. Also what RWHP are you putting down? When i do the cam im going to put roller rockers on and im also doing Pacesetter LT at the same time i do the install of the cam.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

With the stock heads huh? Very nice. How is the drivability of the car now? My last concern is that my GTO is my daily driver and has to remain that way.

thanks yup stock 241's i dont dd my car but i could its just too loud for me, a trans am has too many rattles and clanks to be a dd lol. only thing is a little bit of a pain it i get a little surge down low so instead of say rolling to a stop sign and leaving it in first i have to push the clutch in but thats expected

I have a 99 with stock 853 heads and it made 392/362 with cats. Been running 11.8s but looking for 11.5s this winter due to some changes I've made to the car. As far a DD, absolutely. Your tuner will need to be spot on however with pretty much any cam setup, the only issues I have are with warm start ups and if you are at an idle then switch on the AC it wants to surge a little but if you are driving then turn on the AC and stop you have no surge problems. As far as the warm start up goes it's not bad but the car will surge about 3 times before it catches it's idle. Great cam in my opinion, several members running 10s na with this cam. GL

All the surgeing sounds like it would make it a bad daily driver. IKm not evcen running the a/c. The compressor is on the car so i could but i just took the belt off. See i was originally going to do the 228R cam which all i hear is good things but the guy at TSP said the Torquer V2 will make slightly more HP and still be DD.

Maybe the 228R would be a better choice?

Dont waste your money on rockers. Stock rockers are lighter and you wont gain hp with aftermarket set.

why not the TV3?... I know, too much lift! But this TV3 is putting very good numbers since its out. Better power under the curve than the TV2 plus better top end.

Isn't the Torquer V3 too aggressive for daily use?

I'm running the TV2 with full exhaust. Still running the stock, unported LS1 intake manifold, throttle body, heads, etc. Putting down 387hp/372tq to the wheels and its a DD

I don't have a TV2 guys but from what I'm looking at don't get caught up in the dyno numbers. Hell look at my sigs. Just my .02 for what it's worth.
