Does anyone know where I can find the rear factory bump stops for a 98Z28.
I do not want the polyurethane ones. Any info would be great......

They are available through the dealership. I replaced both on my '94 Z28 in May. The originals had dried up and were falling apart.

Yea, Stealerships should have them or like said junk yards. Like TWS my 94's were basically rotted and blown out and my 2002 T/A w/ 44k look brand new. Go fig.

he said from the start he didn't want the poly ones.
I would hardly consider the poly ones an "upgrade".
that must be a harsh impact. the stock ones are cushioned by design.

I do understand that the poly ones would be good upgrades if you do allot of drag racing. I want to do something like a g-machine set up. I like track racing. So the softer stock ones would be better. Especially going into turns and such. I think that the poly ones would hit to hard....

I actually run a bump stop on the shock itself in the back...not sure how great of an idea it is, but I needed the clearance for my wheels.

WOW! SLP sold several sets last year for like $2.95 per pair...YES, less than $3 per pair. I bought 3 sets...1 went to a friend, one to use, and now I have a spare set. They were take-offs left over from the Firehawk/SS/WS6 program I guess...

I don't think the original poster would want those - the SLP bump stops were not very progressive (if at all), so when you hit them, it was harsh. The factory Z28 bump stops had more of a triangular shape to them, so they were a little softer on initial impact, and is why a lot of people prefer them over the SLP style bump stops.

The SLP bumpstops I bought were TAKE-OFF and identical to the stock ones I took off of my Z28...it was a foam type material. I'm guessing these were the factory bumpstop SLP removed to put theirs on.

Plus this. Mine were rotted out on my SS. I regret it though because I was driving it not long ago and I ran across a rut on a road and my fender dimpled. This was on a KONI shock also.

Mine were falling apart on my 01 formula so I stopped by a local salvage yard and found that all the 4th gens there had the bump stops broken off. I decided to look at the third gens and they were all intact, so I compared the two and they mount the same. I guess the ones used on the third gen f bodies were made from a more durable material.
