Complaining about other people making up rules is pretty gay.. the only thing that I have heard of out there is people tryin to buy the pot or say they don't race for less than xxx amount of dollars. Seems like an easy way to not have to race anybody.

I'm with it. We had an Old School Vet neutral to all of us who set up the rules. The race with Myself and Wayne we got all possibilities out of the way the race went on and no problems. Rules are needed when running for the money for sure.

I say the day these rules are finalized you print these out and take it to the spot and who ever races has to agree to the rules. Alot of people are on the forum but not everyone. Maybe have a couple of you all print these out and keep them in your car or something just so everyone else that goes out there will know them too.

I don't agree with the prepping your lane rule. If I prep my lane and you don't prep yours, that is YOUR PROBLEM, not mine. Like everything else about a race you need to come prepared.
I don't care if I'm racing a Kia Sedona minivan, I'm preppeing my damn lane.
I also don't agree with the car breaking before a race to pay up.
The way it needs to be is that you lock up some of the money up before a race, THEN if one person breaks right before a race, only the lock up money is given to the racer who didn't break. For example if you are gonna race for 500.00 then lock up 150.00-200.00 and if you break you only give up that 150-200. That way you can use the rest of your race money to fix your car and race another day.
And last rule #8, giving up half of the money is a nice chunk. We are all not rich out here. Give up the lock up money and be done.
For example, I was setting up a race for Bassboat back in the day and the other guy talked some shit about 20 g's and Bass told him to lock up 3 g's in case one of us break and on race night bring the other 17 g's.

Ok I can see where you are coming from with the small dollar races.
How about this rule with the money: If the races is $300.00 or less you have to lock it up and if you don't show, your whole $300.00 is gone. If the race is for more than $300.00 you must lock up no less than 200.00 you don't show or car breaks before the race you get that. This is good up to a $1,000.00 race.
If the race is more than a G us old school racers will figure it out when that time comes because there are very few races for a G.

The race I was setting up was a guy just talking noise. He said he had a bike that no car could beat and I promptly got in touch with Bass. Bass made me call Byrd and he told the guy with the bike to bring 3 g's to lock up and bring the other 17 g's at the time of the race. Then the guy started crawfishing and shit. He must of thought I didn't know anybody with a car fast enough to beat a bike.
I set up races or at least put 2 racers in touch with each other. I just bet my money on the side.
