how much hp will an aluminum ls2 block hold?

More than almost anyone in the world will ever put through one. The design of the LS family of motors is VERY strong and pretty much bullet proof.

I have seen several people run 700hp at the crank with nitrous (150) holding together with stock rod bolts, but I would recommend the good katech or arp bolts.

before your block disinigrates something else would go, like a rod or a piston. so yea these aluminum blocks are powerfull
