Okay guys, first let me start with i dont know much about cams. But just for yalls information these are my plans for in the future, Ls6 Intake, Lt's,ORY w/ Cut-outs, 3400 stall, and 150 nitrous.

im looking for a cam that will make big power and torque but can also be a DD.

If yall can give me some cams to look at, post them ill appreciate it.

these are some of the cams im looking into.

Xtreme XE-R XER287HR Cam- 238/240 112LSA

Xtreme RPM HIGH LIFT XR281HR Cam- 228/230 112LSA

Patriot 225/229 .580/.590 114+4

Torquer 231/234 .595/.598 112 lsa

Tsp228/228R .588/.588 112lsa

Tsp231/237 .598/.595 112Lsa

well, i dont think power would differ much between the cams listed. And unless ur running huge nitrous shots, you dont need a "nitrous cam" Get ur car to run the way u want N/A, then spray. BTW i run a 228 236 on 110lsa 588/602 lift.

i personally havnt dynoed my car, but i bought the cam from my friend, and he made 380 rwhp. our mods are lid, lt's, catless y, and LM1 and ls6 intake

haha yeah some little juice will do good. well i wanna try to hit around 420hp with cam and mods, then a put on a ZEX kit.

If yall guys know a cam setup that makes around 400- 430ish let me know.

the cams that are giving 400 plus are losing low end torque like the ms3-4 and trex. u said u wanted good torque. the power u want is under the curve. The 228/228 is a good cam. That would be my choice

haha my dad had a 228/228 in his camaro and i loved it! But he sold it. but i was thinking something around the same but a little more power on hp and torque. really i just want something that will put out around 400 hp with high torque.
something real fun, but also when it comes time at the track it would haul ***!!

i dd a 224r @ 375-ish rwhp. stock ls1 intake though. i love it, if u want bigger go 228r. but these two are very good for every day use. i run a/c all the time no prob. fires right up on cold mornings etc etc.

Futral F14 hands down! I made 450/400 with that cam and home ported heads

hmmm, how does it sound? i want something that roars, i dont want something that crackles or has that kind of popping sound to it.

but im kind of thinking of getting 5.3 heads with my set up what kind of power am i looking at. ill look into to f14 cam.
also how is it as a DD?

ms4, I DD mine everyday and wouldn't trade it for the world. When mustang people rev at you its almost impossible to hear them.

Okay i have another cam in mind the TSP XS Series Camshaft:
233/239, .595"/.603".. should this be a street freindly cam? does anyone know? let me know
