11 over isnt bad. Havent been in any trouble since you went to defensive a couple years ago? See if you can get defered adjudication and just pay the fine, then dont **** up for 6 months. Thats what I did with my last ticket.

Cost of ticket should be posted online shortly. You can pay the ticket online, so you'll see how much it'll be. Plus, pretty sure on the back of the ticket it tells you how the fees are accessed.
Also- if it's been less than 3 years since you took defensive driving, that wont be an option anyway this time around.
11 over isn't bad.
Good luck. Go to court and ask for your options.

I got a 79 in a 60 a while back. Just asked for a trial and will take my chances on the officer not showing up. If he does I will just ask for defensive driving.. I need to get a discount on my insurance anyways.

Did they change the law? I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in a few yrs... But in past, you could take DD once a yr for a ticket.

Either way, for the ticket in question. Don't just pay the ticket and let it go to on your record. Take defensive driving/ get def adj etc etc.

It has been a little while since i have gotten a ticket but you could take DD to dismiss a ticket once a year. You get the insurance discount for three years after that.

thats correct, DD once a year to dismiss, although if you have to take DD as a term of the deferment(using a traffic lawyer/def adj) you can do it more than once. anyways, if i had to guess, id say your ticket is prob in the neighborhood of 170, but if you do DD, it'll probably be around 100 total. i always did mine on comedydefensivedriving.com. its nice because it tells you exactly how long each section is, so you can hit play and go watch tv till its time to take a quiz

iunno about 5 hours... i did it online back in like 06 and the sections are timed so you can take one test and 45 min later take the next you have to wait the full hour...

but to the OP i mean if you really dont wanna do def. driving then dont do it, pay the ticket and have it on your record... i wouldn't recommend that but that is your only option...

I did it the day before I deployed. Took me right at 5 hours to finish the "course". Of course I took each section as fast as I could and just waited for the timer to go away and started a new section. Was a complete joke but still far better than sitting in a classroom full of people and wasting a WHOLE day.

i believe the law is each course has to be at least 6 hours, with a certain amount of time for breaks. think mine was 6 hours with 3- 10 minute breaks so 6.5 hours

Must of changed it since I took it in 2007.

http://www.asenseofhumordriving.com/Class run time is 4.8 hours but I dont know how many breaks they make you take. It actually wasnt that bad and had some funny parts. Its the one I took BTW.
