Im with him! Takes a pretty big set of bollas to cut up a beautiful new ride like that. It does look bad Azz, though.

P.S. Man, whoever the welder is, did an awesome job. Those are some nice welds there in the last pic.

the door is fine, for some reason the rear side window has black tape around it, makes it look all screwed up...

I like cars that go fast and handle well. This car is the opposite, hopefully just wasting a V6, not a SS. I like it when someone pursues their own vision and I can appreciate good custom work however.

Sorry, I'm not trying to make you defensive. like i said, its quality workmanship. However, it shouldn't be judged for performance, but for visual appeal. Its art. A bagged and slammed car with a blower could never be more than a dyno queen. To each his own. A low rider is a cultural statement, not a performance vehicle.
I have no interest in rock crawling, tractor pulls, drifting. But I don't pass judgment. I'm certain there are many auto enthusiasts that consider my interest in road and rally racing a waste of time. I've got no problem with that.
My friend was checking out the pictures. He customizes cars from the 40's. Bag/slam chopped you name it. He thinks this camaro is "sick". Check out his website chevybombs.com

so true, air ride tech was the first company to road race on air ride, to prove that it does perform and can out perform a coil over, my alero handles like a champ on air ride, adjustbale ride dampening on the struts, i love air ride

Contrary to popular belief, a well thought out air bag suspension can perform better than stock.
Here's an example:
Cool video showing how air bags increased performance on a Dodge Magnum.

it was meant for drag racing? that's why it weighs 2 tons and has IRS? Interesting....

I like it, its definately different, and thats what makes it bad ass.
but....why does everyone think you are mexican or hispanic to have a bagged car or truck? In fact, most hispanics prefer hydraulic suspension, not air.
and yes air ride suspension can and does handle well when thgough out and put together with the right parts. I used to have a truck that was rediculously good handling. I've also had some that were worthless for anything but laying on the ground. I love air ride though, if you have ever taken a long trip like the power tour in something lowered, you will love the proper air ride suspension.
would I cut up a new camaro just to lay it out? prob not.

I met the guys from Status (built that car and it won one of GM's awards at SEMA) down at a show in Tyler TX...awesome folks. Fellas...that car is top notch in person. You guys wait...it'll be at drag and auto-x tracks or at least one with the same set up will be. they know what they're doing...procharger sent them a f1 head for it.

I can't blame some folks for thinking bad things about bags. People tend to get a bad impression of air bags when certain guys use them to hop or they mount them with weak shocks or no shocks at all. I think they also remind people of hydraulics, which everyone knows is not performance minded.

want to race this truck in a straight line or around corners? its probably faster then what you drive lol
Its bagged and has a ls2 in it...
It handles corners better then a vette.
Just because its bagged doesn't mean it doesn't handle very well.

Oh that is a nice one. Always did love those bodystyle stepsides. I am so ready to do some more mods to my dodge but its going to have to wait even longer than anticipated. Guess that makes it sweeter when I do it.
Plus its hard to stay devoted to one longterm project when cool shit like that Camaro is being built. So tempting.

not sure how a guy with a convertible 4th gen can talk about something being able to handle well or not. the last 4th gen vert i drove had so much body twist to it i wondered how people even managed to drag them let alone want to road race them.
its prob a great car, just not the first thing i would think of when handling is mentioned.
