Default Finally got the exhaust I have always wanted

I ran a pair of the Dynatech Splitfows before and sold them to a member here, but they were the ticket. They just needed more pipe along with an X-pipe to get the tone right and sharpen the throttle response.

I had FMG in Crosby do the work and they really did a good job and took their time to get it right.

I have been through several exhaust set ups and this is what I have been searching for. It's only 3" but flows plenty for our high 9 second 408. I'll likely do an identical set up in 3.5" for our bigger 460 pump gas engine. It's crisp and quiet (considering the engine set up) at idle, but screams at WOT. I used a Pype's universal X-pipe kit and Dynatech Splitflows mufflers.

Sounds good....pretty tame at idle for being a racecar and all.

Just one question if you don't mind me asking. Why did you turn the tips in? Clearance I guess? From the first pic it doesnt look like it would be a problem if they were down. I guess resonance(spelling) was a key thought also. I turned mine out so I was just wandering.

sounds really good I am looking for something like that to quiet my duals down. I have spiral flows with x pipe. Is this a quieter setup.

Actually I turn the turn downs inward incase for some freak reason we lift a headgasket, we won't blow water out under the tires. That would be a bad thing. It also helps cancel out the exhaust note and keep the sound docil until WOT.

The clearance is very nice IMO.

No Mike we ran at HMP tonight at the Arm Drop deal hoping to make a little $$$

The car went a 6.47 4X in a row in mild form. We slowed her down a bit to be competitve in the arm drop game.

Stay tuned

Good point I didn't even think about blowing liquids on the tires.
