how's it going people? im building my first LS engine and i would like your guys opinions on this build. here's my list so far;

original ls1 alum block, scat 4.00 assembly with 6.125 rods, flat pistons that give 11.5 compression.

DART alum heads....225cc intake port 62chamber volume 2.05/1.60 int/exh

comp cam 238/246 int/exh duration 585/595 int/exh lift and 114 LSA

LSX 92/92mm intake manifold/TB

long tube headers.

6 speed manual...i dont have the clutch yet, any recomandations? what about a ceramic clutch? i also need someone to tune it when i get it fired up. anybody good in the LOS ANGELES area?...is it a potential 10 sec. car? thanks for your comments

what kind of car is it going in?...that will make the difference weight wise. I'm currently looking as well. I've heard good things about ACT, Mcleod, and Textralia. I'm currently running a Spec stage 3 puck clutch that has held up well so far and I have similar power launching about 5 grand

Dont do spec. Go with a monster if it will ever see the street. That combo will see 10's with spray for sure. LOL

Monster clutch, and it should do it n/a if you get the weight to ~3100-3200 raceweight.

textralia oz700 seems to be a popular clutch pick...I with that head and cam combo you should be able to get there as long as you dont have a 10 sec car with and 11 sec driver...its all about the 60'
