I have a 6.0 lq4 out of a 2004 van and I am wondering what would be the best computer and harness to make this motor run in a mid 60's car. What year did they start with drive by wire also? Thanks for the info.

Are you going to run the drive by wire that came with the engine? Do you have the tac module and pedal?

If you do, I would run a drive by wire, but you should use the stock green/blue pcm with it since this must be matched with the truck TAC Moduel and Pedal. If you dont have the tac and pedal, i would run drive by cable since it would be cheaper.

I believe 03 they started truck/van DBW.

The motor I got is dbw but I don't have the pedal and other stuff to make that work. So I'm going to put a drive by cable throtle body on it.

That is easy then. I would go with a 411 PCM (Red/Blue PCM Connectors) and just modify the tune to use a Drive By Cable Throttle Body from another Vortec or a F-body motor.

What wiring harness would I use then or does it even matter?

Depends. If you go with a 411 PCM you could use a 99-02 Camaro or Vortec Harness but any harness with Red/Blue PCM connectors would work. Major difference between the vortec/camaro harnesses are the injector connectors. Your engine should have either EV6 or Multitec injectors. If you score a harness with EV1 you can buy adapters or just cut the injector connectors off and put the correct one on. Keep in mind that the truck intake you have may not clear the hood line, so you may end up putting a car intake and injectors on the engine anyway. Additionally, some of the connector lengths are different but that is easily solved by lengthening/shortening. Keep in mind that Corvette harnesses are all drive by wire.

Ok thanks for the info.
