Default 12.2's now whats neded to get in 11's?

Ok guys im going to try and get in the 11's without going into the motor (ie cam). Im wondering which bolt-on dollar for dollar will net me the most gain. Or just say screw it and add a 150 shot and go in the 10's for the same money as the rest of the bolt on's. Heres my options to what i can add. Car currently has stock 3.23's

3.73 - is traction going to be a issue with the ss4000
UD pulley
ram air kit
cut out
practice is going to be the free part!!.

I run a 12.2 with the current mods and im sure i have room for improvement just looking for the right direction.

Well, a cutout can be had for like 50 bucks, I always ran 2 tenths uncapped. What kind of air were you racing in? Between a cutout and maybe a slightly better day, it may be all you need...then again, if the DA is under 5,500 ft, to me that's a good day :/

Damn. I ran a 12.7 two weeks ago at about 5,800 lol

Full exhaust, 245 nittos, 2.73 gears, TR224 cam

I think you can hit 11s. Get a cutout and maybe gears. Your sig says you have slicks/skinnies you should be alright

I dunno. I did !FRA

Where you cut the underside/backside of your radiator support under your lid. It sure seems to work seeing how fast my filter gets dirty now. I dunno, it takes up air from the air dam that way, but I don't know. You can find that article with pics on www.installuniversity.com

I just cant justify spending 200 bucks on an SLP FTRA or whatever kit lol

3.73s would get you into the 11's but for how long idk...stock 10 bolt can hold up for a few hard launches...if your on et streets with 3.73s and et streets itll hold up fine...

Have you tried weight reduction? Spare, jack, rear seats, floor mats, emtpy glove box, less than half tank of gas, washer fluid tank empty, remove front sway bar, remove cat back

Stock tune or an aggressive tune with racing fuel?

Spare tire, jack, front sway bar has been removed im not going to remove my seats and stuff like that. Car has been tuned for 93 octane just need to fine tune it.

throw a cutout on it. that flowmaster is choking your engine. on the dyno my car gained about 25hp and around 33 tq just by opening the cutout. i have the same junk muffler on my car flowmaster 40 series. i love the way it sounds its just restrictive as ****

Dang 25 hp difference i fiqured that the 40 series would flow better than the 80 series crossflow, but thinking about the cutout, taking off the a/c belt and bypassing the powersteering pump for track use. And maybe getting with chris1313 for one of his cold air kits.

Cooler weather is all you need. My car runs .4 and 4 MPH quicker in the winter than the summer.

cutout would be the very FIRST thing i would get. The flowmaster you have is super restrictive. Gears would help you as well depending on what your 60ft is right now. Cutouts and gears should get you into the 11's no problem.

I dont know about a camaro but my ws6 gain just over a tenth and 4mph by taking out the baffles and sealing the box. Those are some good times for a bolt on car though i wish i could get those times with my ws6 my best was 12.76 at 110mph but if i was you i would try the cold air/ram air, cutout, and gears that and a nice day should be 11s.

Cut out gained a lot for me too when I had a flowmaster. Imo I think it would take all those mods listed to get you into the 11s.
