Default Any of you guys make this switch?

From this kind

to this kind?

I recently did, had to buy and extension so that itd reach the MAF, prob spent more then i should of but i was impatient and didnt care. i feel it helped out alot, since the airflow of most of our cars get is straight from the front. That being said with a direct opening in the from as opposed to having to go around and then getting sucked in makes a vast improvement... or is it just me?
BTW i got the spectre filter.

I had one when I was using my Ram Air headlights. It pulled a little better with those in, but when I put the normal headlights in I couldn't tell any difference.

Well i felt that it pulled a little harder, and my MPG went up by about 3. I thought it was worth it in the end, im really happy about it. Recommend getting one if anyones going to be getting a new one. Ha and thats a cool set up but i see how it can have some flaws to it.

Heh yea exactly what i was thinking, plus cleaning it. I had to swap mine back out today because of the rain, sort of a pain in the *** but it doesnt take long. Not only that but put a cover over the opening that drops air above it. Doesnt rain that often though.
