Default LS2 402 or L92 418?

Alright guys going to begin building the motor for my WS6 and have a question. I just picked up a 06 GTO that had a nitrous solenoid stick open and had nitrous backfire. The shortblock is still good and I am thinking about saving the cash that I would spend on a L92 block and just just build a 402 out of the LS2 instead of a 418 out of the L92. Is there any reason I should stick with my original plan of the L92 418 instead of the LS2 402? Looking at going with a callies dragonslayer crank, wiesco pistons and oliver rods in either motor. It will have a F1 procharger on it and I hope to make 800-1000rwhp on it. Any help would be apperciated

The aluminum block should hold the pressure fine with proper cooling. Besides that I'm not sure if the extra 16ci will make a big difference.

Be sure to triple check the block and sleeves for hairline cracks.
