Default rear hatch

I was wondering if any of you guys would know the answer to this.
Are the rear hatches on the 97 Trans Am the same as the rear hatch on the 98 Trans Am? Any Info I would appreciate

yep. any 93-02 camaro hatch will work on any 93-02 camaro and same goes for trans am. with the exception of convertible models of coarse. only issue that exists as far as i know is a wiring issue with the SS spoilers due to the third brake light beind an LED. i think... either way it only effects ABS, but physically fitting is not an issue

Yes, they will fit fine. Idk why people are talking about the camaro hatch, but as far as the firebird/TA hatch goes; using a 93-97 hatch on a 98-02 or vise versa will require you to do a little wire splicing so the rear defroster will work properly. Nothing hard at all.

2000 to 96 you say... That is interesting. I think 93-97 had a 2 wire connector and 98+ and a 3. Or vise-versa. I always get them mixed up.
