New driveshaft upgrade for the Cadillac CTS V We are now offering a driveshaft upgrade for these vehicles. Complete kit that replaces the factory unservicable unit. Still a 2 piece unit with serviceable carrier bearing, steel shafts, 4130 joints, billet yoke adapters, hardware. Let us know if we can help, Thanx

Hi all,
Please excuse me for my ignorance in this matter. My question is: by replacing the stock o.e. driveshaft what advantages will I get. Will it mitigate the clunking noise and/or loose feeling from the driveline while engaging and disengaging the clutch at speeds between 2-15 mph. If so, please sign me on

With the amount of power that is going through the factory rubber "donut" I would not trust just anyone to pour some urethane and start selling these. I will guarantee you that GM didn't just make it out of rubber and send it down the road. There was a magnitude of testing done to see what that part can withstand. If it was something less critical than a drive shaft I would say go for it, but if that donut fails some serious damage can occur.

To the original poster.
In addition to offering a complete drive shaft kit could you possibly re-make the donuts out of billet aluminum and sell those individually? This way everyone can save money over buying a whole new drive shaft and get rid of the rubber dunuts for minimal cost.

Thanks for the kind gesture of possibly coming out to California but man If I can just borrow some of your hard-learned wisdom I can hopefully fix my situation. I am chasing an issue with a clunk type noise whichfeels like a broken trans mount in most cars but my mount is not broken. It occurs and feels as if it is most prominent during low speed gear changes 1st and 2nd or when coming to a stop which requires clutch activation and deactivation. It always occur when the clutch has to be depressed or released. Most of the forum gurus believe my stock clutch setup and/or my motor mounts are to be blamed but one person added "check my driveshaft" hence I am considering this driveshaft source as a solution. What do you think?
