New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - Any Ideas???

I have a 2002 Camaro SS with the SLP package.... Automatic, just turned 50k miles and is flawless.... I have 3k to do in upgrades right now.... The vehicle is completely stock.... What would you do to it??? Only under-the-hood parts.... No cosmetics..... Let's roll and burn some rubber.... How can I get the most raw power using the LS1 motor....

Biggest bang for the buck on an A4 car is a tq converter. I'd go 3400-3600 RPM stall. My 3400 RPM converter shaved 0.6 sec off my 1/4 mile time alone. Cost is ~$700. Check which Air Filter cover, "Lid" you have. If it says SLP or Blackwing on it leave it alone otherwise buy an aftermarket lid for about $100. Do a full exhaust system ex: LT headers (if legal), Off Road Y-pipe, nice cat back. Or search true dual exhaust on this site. ~$700 to $1000 depending on how you go. When it's all done take it in and have it tuned up $200-$400. $1950-$2250 leaving some room for incidentals and items you didn't think you needed, like sub frame conectors, suspension, tires.
