Default Boost limits of mildly built 5.3

I am starting my S13 5.3L turbo build and wondering what the boost limits will be and what is the failure mode when the LSx fail under boost.

5.3 with 9.0-1 CR forged slugs
oem ported heads
arp rod bolts and head studs(maybe 1/2" studs if I needed)
MLS head gaskets
MS3 cam kit from TSP with dual springs
truck manis
Holset 72mm HX55 for now(BW S475 or larger next summer)
glide w/3600 vigilante

Would like to start with a .6 bar spring putting it at about 8psi at the manifold and go from there. I have been told that 15-16psi on race fuel is about all I should ever push through this setup. I know that will be more than enough in the >3000lb chassis but I was wondering with the lower compression what limits the LSx on boost. Head clinch area, etc???? I will need a little more boost out of the Holset to make the power I would with a bigger turbo.

Please remember that I come from the world of turbo 4cyl where it takes 20psi to make 400whp. I'm sure there will be a learning curve.

MS3 seems like a bad choice. Guys don't use them in there turbo LS1's for a reason. Let alone a 5.3 if it would even clear.

Less cam with smaller motor and a more boost friendly would be a good choice.

Unless your running the 05 up LS2 style rods I think you are wasting your time changing the pistons. The rods are the weak link.

It's not the best choice but it will work if he's already got the cam and on a budget. It'll bleed some boost but that's not necessarily a bad thing for his engine.
