Great idea, and it has been done with success. Sorry to say, I have never seen a member post about it(a build or there own personal car) in here on this section of the board. I would do a search, in the forced induction section, for turbo LSX C4. Or youtube turbo C4 corvette. Eventually, you will come across a silver collectors edition vette, which is pretty sick.

It is a great platform for an LS anything setup, be it a cam only car, or a custom fabbed turbo kit..... the C4 can be a sick setup. We're going to do this swap one of these days as well.

I'd stick with a six speed then. T56 should handle a good amount of power in that platform(lightweight). You thinking naturally aspirated?....or a boost setup? Prices will obviously vary alot depending on the three or five different possible setups. You could actually get away with doing it REALLY cheap. could be the modern guys, classic hotrod when you think about it. It's a sporty looking ride, aerodynamic, body/chassis are upgradeable do to a decent niche aftermarket market(DRM-lingenfelter-etc). For like, what, 2500 bucks for an 88 or something..... the 95 model to me would be the BEST C4 to ALTER(as in motor swap). If you want the best C4 to keep the original motor in, i'd say a 95 ZR1 or even easier and cheaper the 96 LT4.

But you can buy a nice 95(latest body) and throw in a LSX motor from a 5.3 or 6.0 or a used LS2 or anything for not a whole lot of money. Would be a fun project. Heres my cousins C4's

Thanks for the comment on the car, sounds pretty wild with the turbos and open pipes...no mufflers.

yea im planing for just a natural aspiration set up but may later do a turbo..i love the way turbos sound...lol
but yea ima try to do it cheep..but yea i sure would like the 6.0 with l92 top half...they complement the 6.0 so well...i just considerion these corvettes because they really dont get alot of attention...and i bet since their old but not old enough to be a "classic muscle car" and modern enough to have a good light weight body and good suspencion...
but yea im going for a 92 up to 96 because i perfer the flat back pannel..or *** of the car....lol

I started out looking at c4 many years ago when the used c5's were running in the mid 30s to 40's, but the c5 (which are now in the low teens) is much better room wise and the body does not flex like the C4 did. other than that it sounds like a good project

Hard top would be cool. As far as rigidity, coupe or vert, I would have a roll cage made.
