Default Enough to Run a Bolt on C6 Z06?

With the mods I have, I put down 444whp and 413TQ on the dyno. Granted, dyno numbers are fairly generic and can be decieving so I know that really doesn't do the car justice. I need to get it to the track and get some e.t.'s but for now I need an opinion. I am still on street tires and LS6 intake(I know), with these mods and I am a pretty good driver, hpw do you think the outcome would be with me roll racing a full exhaust, intake, tune C6 Z06 who is also on street tires?

It will be a nice run however the C6 ZO6 will have the advantage... Good luck either way!

The Z will put down about 470rwhp with those basic mods. But his power thruout the curve is going to be strong. That is where the cubes get you.

The local speed shop by me has done these mods before on a C6Z, 490-505rwhp on a mustang dyno.
You are going to need more to hang/beat the C6Z.

Good luck tho and post up some vid's!

Won't be good for you. Honestly, I don't even think you have enough to beat a stock c6Z. From what I have seen there are very few h/c/i LS1/6 cars that can beat a stock c6Z from a roll.

If I had a ported FAST 92 with throttle body with my setup, I have no doubt that I would take a stock C6. Thats my problem now, the Ls6 intake is bottlenecking my heads. With a ported FAST, I guarantee it would put down an additional 25whp. Which would be about what a new one does, not to mention I am nearly 170 pounds lighter.

My tuned 08 LS3 w/390 RWHP outran my buddies 01 Trans Am with a 395 Stroker that put down 445/460. We raced 3 times and I would catch him and slowly pull away by 80 mph. Both car were automatic. My 09 Z with a tune will inalate his car on the street! I have played with 2 heads cam cars, dont know the power they were making but it wasnt even worth my gas.

You better make closer to 500 to the tire inorder to run with the C6Z.

There are plenty of head cam C5's out there that will more than make it worth your gas. Your day will come, just keep probing long enough dude.

You are going to need around 460 rwhp to run close with a stock C6 Z06. A bolt on C6 Z06 will put down around 490-505 rwhp.

Look up results of people with full h/c/i ls1 or 6 cars roll racing a c6Z and let me know when you find one that wins. The FAST won't do it for you but good luck trying. Do you have any weight reduction? If not then I don't see how you're 170lbs lighter than a c6z.

I'm not trying to be a dick, just being a realist.

Dude, the head, cam cars I raced were LS1 F-body cars not Vettes. My car makes over 480 RWHP and weighs around 3150#. It would take a pretty quick head, cam car to run with it. I have had a head, cam, C-5 and this new Z is faster hands down! Dude

stock vs stock weight the C5Z is a few hundred pounds lighter. However replace those heavy/POS run flats on the C6Z and the weight is a lot closer.

I have an 02' camaro 1SC stripper coupe, with H\C\I plus weight reduction. 3120 lbs. 476\425 to the wheels. i raced a bone stock 06 Zo6, and it was an exact draw. We ran 4 -5 times from various speeds and were right there with each other every time...dammit. Now its gone, and im saving my pennies for a c6...

C5 Z06 has a shipping weight of 3045 LBS. and the shipping weight of a C6 Z06 is 3109 LBS. that makes a difference in weight only 64 LBS. you better be packin some serious muscle or your going to be looking at those 4 round C6 tail lites get smaller and smaller .... the old "there is no replacement for displacement" rule is still in effect ...
