PCV lesson learned
I have a 98 Z28 that I had removed the PCV and installed a couple of breathers in on the valve covers. When I started having oil leak from the breathers onto the headers I went with the LS6 PCV upgrade. Well long story short my car did a dyno pull of 345HP 344 torque the other day with an oil leak from under the car. We realized after several hours of trying to figure WTF, we found that the PCV valve was upside down. After correcting that the car did a pull of 388/382. The lesson learned is the PCV=POWER!!

If you had the valve on wrong, it wouldn't let the pressure out of the motor which is why it wasn't working.
Your breathers would have given similar, maybe better results. Put the breathers back on, or run a couple lines to a vented overflow can. Or, continue coating the intake, ports and back of the valves with oil, your choice.

Correct me if I am wrong here but is'nt the "LS6 PCV upgrade" have the valve built into the valley cover? There should be no valve to install backwards to begin with.
