....... Need best cam for manual trans with stock heads?????
Want to buy cam but which is the best choice for me to my mods. The car is manual trans t56 and headers with dynomax muffler, ls6 intake, borting TB, 3.08 ratio that’s all, so my car is DD and some street racing. I got at dyno270rwhp with 700r4 trans

So your car was a auto with the 3.08 gears? You may want to change the gear ratio as well to 3.42's or 3.73's with your 6 speed.

You will want to ditch those gears infavor of 3.42s or higher if you are to be happy with a more than mild cam. I have a 235/240 on a 111lsa in a lighter vette with 3.42s and it can be a pain at times. Rather sluggish around town in the lower rpms unless I get the revs up. This is in a z06 so I have higher comp and better heads with the ls6. In a heavier car I would def. go 3.73s or 4.10s. Also plan for a good tune.

Judging by his signature, the OP has an older Fox body with an LS1 conversion. 3.08 was a performance gear in the manual cars, or 3.27 in an auto. Since the car is much lighter than an F-body, one could assume the 3.08 will not hurt much, perhaps the equivalent of a stock weight camaro. Keep in minf that the F-body M6 does have a .50:1 6th gear, so your effective overdrive ratio is 1.54:1. You could go to a 3.73 or 4.10 and stil get repectable final drives of 1.86:1 or 2.05:1.
228R and similar cams will make great street power. Consider going with a tighter LSA like 112 or 111 to keep peak power RPM's down to 6300-6500 rpm. A 114 will want to keep pulling to 6800, and will have a little softer hit in the low to mid range.
Good luck! Should make for a fast daily!

Use a PR checker get the correct measurement and then buy the rod. Do not take advice on the length of a push rod on line or on the phone. They are not working on your car and that can cause valve train noise, quicker wear or failure. your car your pocket.
LS2 replacement it is a bigger and stronger chain than the stock LS1, I went with a double roller just preference.
Again it falls to personal preference.
