Currently I am running a 2jz in a 3100lb car (240sx) with a 5 speed from a 91 Turbo Supra. Im rebuilding for 900hp/750tq and I cant get the supra 6 speed gearbox without dropping 4k on just the trans.

So I am looking into the t56 and I wanted to know if it will hold this kind of power while shifting at 9000 rpms? not sure if the car being this light helps at all? on a 2jz the motor wouldnt see that kind of Tq till around 6k also don't know if that makes a difference.

No way in hell will you shift a T56 at those rpms without having it face plated. Is this a street car or a track only car?

I would look into a Viper spec T56 with the 2-3-4 face plated. You can keep the 5-6-r syncronized. Unless you have a unit to build, its going to get expensive anyway you look at it.

I can't see any manual trans that can hold that power at that RPM reliably costing less than $4k or so.
