Default back seat bottle safety?

so i did some searching and bumped some old threads and came up with nothing...
i am looking into having a custom tunnel mount made for my bottle and i had a couple concerns about safety, would it be unsafe to have the bottle so close to you incase of a wreck or the pressure disk erupting, etc? or is that not something to worry about?
I will be running either a solid blow down tube or a braided line running under the back seat out the grommet, but is there anything i should be worried about? should i pull the bottle out when the car is in the garage our outside in the summer? any input is appreciated, thanks!

I wouldnt leave the bottle in when setting outside in the sun bro. Also, as long as you have the blow down tube (stupid not to) then you dont have to worry about anything. The burst disk will blow before the bottle explodes, and thats what the blow down tube is for, to let out all that excess pressure.

if you do a braided line, use a bulk head on the body so it does not fly around if the burst disk ever blew. imagine a garden hose with 1000 psi out the end. yeah now picture that in your car.

**** i didnt even think about the braided hose flying around like that, what do you mean use a bulkhead to attach it? like a fitting on the hole in the body to secure it? where would i get something like that?

and nasti, do you mean back hatch or back seat?

We run stand alone fuel cells in the front end of our cars, and bottles in the trunk or the back seat what the big diff?? Its all kinda risky but its all worth it!!!

If it were me I would run it on the tunnel! Dont worry about anything if you have a down tube on it!

Its just a 8AN bulkhead fitting. You can get them at just about any speed shop. Its basically a union fitting that has a nut on the one end to secure it through sheetmetal/plastic/etc.

actually there is a rubber plug behind the rear drivers seat (foot area of back seat). If you force the bulkhead fitting through the middle of that it will hold when the disc bursts. Its happened to me in the summer here.

This is what I recommend to most guys that don't want holes everywhere.

Your supposed to be "the man" / Mr. know it all and you dont know how to mount a bottle and install a blow down tube.

Maybe ask all your buddies that have super fast cars to help you out.
