Default white smoke ?

okay so i never noticed this before i put the JET programer on preset tune 3 and removed the screen in my mass air meter now when i start it it smokes white a little, also when i get on it and stop there is some smoke sometimes WTF is it...somone told me to change my oil and filter...is it the tuner cuz i can take it off..i know its not about drag racing but it seems like i get responses the fastest on here

Coolant leak, maybe a bad head gasket?

ya i think it was condensation because i started it after school today and it didnt even do it a little...so im not worried about it

pressure test the cooling system. That'll tell you if you've got head gasket failure.

Id check for oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil just to make sure.... I have never heard of condensation doing that but that does not mean it can't happen.

There is a pricey tool Snap-On makes (I think it is Snap-On) that tests the coolant for a blown head gasted......... neat little tool.

good point. but on a chevy, not likely to get oil in the coolant since it oils through the push rods, unless you've got a broken compression ring on a cylinder.

I would say it's likely either coolant in the oil (head gasket failure - check w/ a radiator leak down guage) or bad valve seal (would be a grey smoke and not white).

its nothing, i only noticed it a little pulling out and it kinda lingered but it was almost clear and it hasent done anything since and all the fluids are full and good looking....off subject but i just bought mobil 1 full synthetic and a wix filter for my oil change and all together with a little extra oil it cost me like over 50 bucks !!! i was like damn.

Yup but it is mowrth it when you only have to change your oil every 8k miles or so.

like u said it was probably just condensation, H20 is a biproduct of combustion....
