Reichard Racing Pullies hard on belts?

Reichard Racing Pullies hard on belts? Has anyone running Reichard Racing pullies found that they are hard on belts? I have been running a Reichard Racing pulley and have had alot of belt issues, mainly at the track. I can usually only get about 3 runs on a belt. I think maybe when the throttle blade is closed at the end of a run the engine slows down much faster than the supercharger and the belt has to slip and if it is slipping on the blower pulley with the grooves that are in the Reichard Racing pulley that maybe they are cutting the belt.

I run them on both of my cars. I have only seen a few things like excess belt dust and on the TA the belt needs changing once every 1-2 years because the ribs on the belt start to deteriorate.

Have run thir stuff also with no problems.
You don't say what superchager you are running. Is therre a bypass valve in the system? Is the vacuum line hooked up correctly?
If there isn't a bypass you could be killing the belts when the throttle closes when the moving air hits the closed throttle.

Oops, just noticed it said F1A , be sure there is a bypass valve in the system working properly.

I'll bet the blower bracket is flexing enough to be causing the shortened belt life. We've seen a lot of movement with the f body bracket when used with an F-1A on our eddy current (Mustang) dyno. Bob

Bob, I agree with you. I do have a good brace on the bottom of the j-bracket but agree I am unsure how much the bracket is flexing. I just found out where I work has a high speed video camera so I want to video tape my car on the dyno so I can see what is actually happening.
